GGP recently announced the board of director composition for the post spin-off GGP and Spinco (The Howard Hughes Corporation). There were no major surprises with the board selection. The GGP board has a clear imprint of BAM and Spinco has the Ackman touch.
The company is expected to emerge from bankruptcy in early November. The next couple of months will be extremely interesting, I’ve waited for this period for quite a while now. The next big events are the Oct 21st ‘sign off’ from Judge Gropper, the emergence from bankruptcy in Nov, and the capital raising in Nov/Dec.
